The Trees at High Star Christmas Tree Farm

  Here at the High Star Christmas Tree Farm we start from scratch - literally! Every year after Christmas, we plant thousands of new seedlings, one at a time, by hand. It's a two-family job, with the wives, sons and daughters, and, in the near future, some up-and-coming grandchildren all pitching in. The tree you choose this year will probably be 5 or 6 years old, shaped several times, fertilized, weeded, mowed around (countless times) and in general given lots of TLC so it can be a grand addition to your home. All the trees in our fields are Virginia Pines. We also keep on display, in water, fresh pre-cut Frasier Firs from North Carolina, shipped direct to us from the growers in refrigerated trucks.

You simply can not find a fresher Christmas tree anywhere.

Fresh, fragrant garland and wreaths of both fir and pine are handmade right here on the farm. Sure gives the house that Christmas-time smell!
